MODERN MAY DAY [live] - SOLD OUT-

Modern May Day is a fresh approach to a time-honored gesture of kindness, appreciation and beauty. Watercolor, lettering, floral, and food are used as the vehicle to spoil deserving women in our lives.  This is an all ages, all skill levels virtual experience centered on creating beauty to be enjoyed, and shared using heartfelt tokens.  Great for creating custom-made gifts, or a time to feel pampered and experience artistry, connectivity, and beauty within a community of women.

This event blends multiple creative outlets into one unforgettable experience.  Our time begins with a beverage boasting spring flavors. Create custom art learning watercolor & lettering essentials. Instructors show easy tutorial/technique/ ideas for at home use.   Watch instruction and learn color mixing, practice wash, and flecking with The Mint Gardener.  Learn lettering technique and practice brush lettering from letters by ellen.

Growing Kindness Project will demonstrate floral tips on arranging and wrapping accessible flowers to give or enjoy.  Watch The Pastry Project show tasty treat ideas and debut their May Kit box.

Olive & Rose Design provides easy ways to freshen up your porch or outdoor living space for Spring into Summer.   Thanks to MilkRun for healthy, farm fresh ideas for delicious gifting.

LOCAL LADIES : MAY DAY DOOR DROP!

As a special thank you to the community of women around us, we will be gifting ladies around our city.  You have the opportunity to nominate someone you think deserves a special dose of kindness on their doorstep. On two days, one in April and one on May Day, a random selection of women will receive a surprise Modern May Day door drop including local florals, foods, or other curated gifts.

Donation : Women Supporting Women

A portion of proceeds from ticket sales is donated directly to support The Pastry Project and Growing Kindness Project.  Both women owned organizations share a common mission to replicate kindness, cultivate community, teach to empower, share their knowledge, and enable others to use learned skills to be their best self in and for their community.

Event is offered virtually through 2 different options :  Live or Recorded 

Live: This option includes guest packet with some materials, paints, and goodies.  Shipping or local pick up.  

Recorded: The recorded version is a link to our live experience recording,and does not include a mailed guest packet.   All info will be sent as PDF.   Materials are guest responsibility.
