Growing Kindness is a non-profit started by flower farmer, and designer Deanna Kitchen of Twig & Vine Floral Farm. It is a little project with a big heart and a big dream. Our goal? To start a campaign of kindness that starts a ripple of goodwill that reaches across the world.

How? Flowers.

The Growing Kindness Project is working to support thousands, just like you, who want to share kindness by growing and giving flowers.

We provide support, education, and resources to help you both garden and give. Whether you’re an experienced gardener or have never grown a single plant, whether you’re tending a pot of flowers on your city balcony or acres of blooms on a farm, we’re here to help you grow kindness in your community. Join us and let’s get growing in your neighborhood or community!

WHAT & WHY

A  ONE-OF-A -KIND

VIRTUAL  EXPERIENCE

Modern May Day is a fresh approach to a time-honored gesture of kindness, appreciation and beauty. Watercolor, lettering, floral, food and design are used vehicles to spoil deserving women in our lives.  This is an all ages, all skill levels virtual experience centered on creating beauty to be enjoyed, and shared using heartfelt tokens.  Great for creating custom-made gifts, or a time to feel pampered and experience artistry, connectivity, and beauty within a community of women.

This event blends multiple creative outlets into one unforgettable experience.  Our time begins with a beverage boasting spring flavors. Create custom art learning watercolor & lettering essentials. Instructors show easy tutorial/technique/ ideas for at home use.   Watch instruction and learn color mixing, practice wash, and flecking with The Mint Gardener.  Learn lettering technique and practice brush lettering from letters by ellen.

Growing Kindness Project will demonstrate floral tips on arranging and wrapping accessible flowers to give or enjoy.  Watch The Pastry Project show tasty treat ideas and debut their May Kit box.

Olive & Rose Design provides easy ways to freshen up your porch or outdoor living space for Spring into Summer.   Thanks to MilkRun for healthy, farm fresh ideas for delicious gifting.

A portion of ticket proceeds is donated directly to support The Pastry Project and Growing Kindness Project.  Both local,  women owned organizations share a common purpose to replicate kindness, cultivate community, teach to empower, share their knowledge, and enable others to use learned skills to be their best self in and for their community Each ticket sold directly impacts the ongoing mission to offer equity & love to the lives of many.
