ABOUT ENGAGEMENT
Social Engagement is a time to engage with others. These events are open to all adults 21+-all genders welcome. Take time to hang with your pals, date your significant other, meet someone from your community or neighborhood. Engage and learn something new in a comfortable environment, and a hip PNW venue.
Social Creative Engagement events feature teaching, food, beverage and music.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
Come join us for our big Summer Social {Engagement} where all adults are invited to celebrate Summer the best way we know-good food, live music, interactive learning, and face to face connection. Plan your night out with us under the warm summer sky at Fast Penny Spirits tasting deck. Learn about their award winning Amaro & Amaricano Bianca and make your own Fast Penny Summertime Spritz using savory, sweet and fresh components of your choosing. Learn a couple, make one of your choosing.
Not Without Salt & Kitchen Unnecessary will be cooking over the fire and demonstrating best of summer food ideas for you to observe and enjoy. Taste some Amaro inspired bites and finish with a sweet summer essential taken up a notch. Time to roast some elevated s'mores using ingredients that will motivate the most sophisticated ooey gooey masterpiece you've ever licked from your fingers.
Our outdoor experience is enhanced by live music featured by Magnolia Steel Band. This Seattle, folk/Americana band is ready to get you in the summertime spirit. From cover tunes to band originals, Seattle's grunge to 70's classics and anything requested by YOU! Song requests will get your in the groove and a Spotify playlist will move you the rest of summer.
Capture the summer experience by riding your bike on the Ship Canal trail (access from Magnolia, Fremont, Ballard, or Lake Union!) or park your car next to Fast Penny's classic Amaricano ranger. Plenty of parking-whatever your mode of transportation. Get ready to have some fun, meet some people, play some outdoor games, and learn some delicious drink and food tips to get you through summer.

Jamie Hunt | Fast Penny Spirits
Founder & CEO
A mostly Seattle native, Jamie is known for launching innovative digital products and experiences for global companies as well as seeking out delicious food and cocktails at home and on the road. In creating Fast Penny Spirits, she digs deep into her Sicilian heritage and love of amaro for a new American take on the spirit.
A life-long learner and traveler, trips to Europe helped spark her dive into the world of amari. With a family history rich in making wine and liqueurs at home, Jamie set about concocting the recipe for Fast Penny’s flagship amaro, Amaricano - testing hundreds of brews and combinations. When she’s not mixing up flavors in the distillery, Jamie can be found spending time with her family: husband Jason, children Anya and Gavin, and Italian truffle-dog Fiori.
Ashley Rodriguez | Not Without Salt
Founder, Owner, Writer
Ashley is a Seattle-based food consultant, cooking instructor, food photographer, author of Date Night In and Let's Stay In, wife, and mother of three young children. As the creator of notwithoutsalt.comAshley blogs about life as told through food. Her blog has earned accolades from Saveur.com (Best Food Blog 2013), the Times Online, Babble.com, RealSimple.com, Brides.com, BonAppetit.com, Glamour.com, GourmetLive.com, Food52.com, MarthaStewart.com, and TheKitchn.com for her writing and original photography. Ashley's work has also been featured in several publications such asMartha Stewart Living, Glamour, Sunset, and Edible Seattle. Before she began writing, Ashley worked in several professional kitchens including Wolfgang Puck's Spago in Beverly Hills. Now, Ashley teaches in and around Seattle at various locations including The Pantry and The Book Larder.
